Well. Here we are.
Last week, The Sun had us clapping for squirrels and dancing in kitchens. It was warm and easy and bright. I needed that. Maybe you did too.
But this week feels different, doesn’t it? The energy shifted. The clarity got a little fuzzy. Questions started creeping in that don’t have neat answers.
I pulled a card for us this morning and honestly? It made me nod slowly. Like, “Yeah. Okay. That tracks.”
This week’s card is The Moon.
Before You Panic, Let’s Look at Her
The Moon card is often labeled as “fear,” “illusion,” “the unconscious.” And sure. That’s in there. But let’s actually look at what’s happening in this image.
A moon glows overhead, round and full but not harsh. Two towers stand on either side, marking a boundary. A path winds between them, disappearing into the distance. A wolf and a dog howl at the moon—one wild, one tame. And in the foreground, a crayfish crawls out of the water onto land.
It’s not a scary picture. It’s mysterious. It’s twilight. It’s the moment between dog and wolf, between water and land, between knowing and not knowing.
That’s where you are right now. In the in-between.
What The Moon Actually Means (In Human Language)
The Moon is the card of “I don’t know and that’s okay for now.”
We live in a world that demands answers. What’s your five-year plan? Where do you stand on this? What’s the next move? And sometimes you genuinely don’t know. The path ahead isn’t lit. The signs aren’t clear. The voices in your head (the tame one and the wild one) are both howling different directions.
The Moon isn’t here to give you clarity. It’s here to give you permission to be in the mystery.
Not everything needs to be figured out tonight. Not every question needs an answer. Some truths reveal themselves slowly, like the crayfish emerging from water—one hesitant step at a time.
A Story About Not Knowing
A few years ago, I had to make a decision that felt impossible. Stay in a situation that was comfortable but shrinking, or leave for something unknown but exciting. I made pro/con lists. I asked friends. I journaled. I cried in my car. I did all the things.
And still, no clear answer.
One night, I was lying in bed staring at the ceiling, and I remember saying out loud to absolutely no one: “I just need to know what to do.”
And this tiny voice inside me whispered back: “What if you don’t need to know yet? What if you just need to be here?”
It was the most unsatisfying answer I’ve ever received. I wanted directions. I got presence.
But I stayed. I stopped forcing the answer. I let myself be uncomfortable in the not-knowing. And slowly, over weeks, the path revealed itself—not because I figured it out, but because I stopped blocking it with my frantic need for certainty.
That’s The Moon. It’s not darkness. It’s just not daylight yet.
What This Means For You This Week
The Moon is shining on something in your life that feels unclear. Maybe it’s:
In Love:
You’re not sure where things stand with someone. Are they pulling away or just busy? Is this growing or fading? The Moon says you don’t have to diagnose it right now. Let the relationship breathe. Let it show you what it is without you dissecting it every five minutes.
With Money or Career:
A decision is pending. An opportunity feels murky. You’re not sure if you should leap or wait. The Moon says gather information but don’t force the conclusion. Sometimes the right move only becomes visible after you’ve sat still long enough for the fog to lift.
In Your Inner World:
You’re having feelings you can’t name. Dreams that linger. Intuitions you can’t explain. The Moon says pay attention but don’t analyze. Let your subconscious speak in its own language. Write down the dreams. Notice the patterns. You don’t have to interpret everything immediately.
The Two Wolves (And You)
See those animals in the card? The wolf and the dog?
One represents your wild side—your instincts, your fears, your raw untamed self. The other represents your tame side—your conditioning, your politeness, your “shoulds.”
They’re both howling. They both want something. And you’re the one standing between them.
The Moon asks: Can you hear them both without letting either one drive?
You don’t have to silence your fears (the wolf). You don’t have to ignore your responsibilities (the dog). You just have to let them both howl and trust that you’ll know which one to follow when the time is right.
Your Tiny Task (It’s a Little Different This Week)
The Moon works best when we stop trying to figure things out and start simply noticing.
So here’s your task for the next few days:
Keep a notebook by your bed. When you wake up, before you look at your phone, write down whatever you remember from your dreams. Even fragments. Even nonsense. Just get it down.
Don’t interpret. Don’t Google what it means. Just collect.
At the end of the week, read through them. See if any patterns emerge. See if your subconscious has been trying to tell you something your conscious mind has been too busy to hear.
That’s it. You’re not solving anything. You’re just listening.
A Small Prayer For the Unclear Days
May I learn to sit in the dark without panicking. May I trust that the path is still there even when I can’t see it. May I let my wild and tame parts both speak, and may I have the wisdom to know when to listen to each. And may I remember that the moon doesn’t create the darkness—it just glows gently within it.
What I Want You to Hold Onto
The Moon isn’t a bad card. It’s not warning you of danger or disaster. It’s simply acknowledging that life isn’t always clear, and that’s part of the design.
You’re not lost. You’re just in the liminal space. The space between what was and what will be. The space where magic actually happens, if you let it.
The crayfish crawls onto land slowly. The wolf howls at a light it can’t reach. The path winds forward even when you can’t see the end.
You’re exactly where you need to be. Even if you can’t see it yet.
See you next Tuesday.
P.S. What’s something you’re in the middle of not knowing right now? You don’t need answers. Just name it. It helps.
